Online Surveys

Online surveys are the quickest, simplest and most cost-effective means of collecting survey data. The ease with which they are completed also means that response rates tend to be higher than with postal questionnaire.

Online surveys also provide an opportunity to use 'routing' or 'dynamic' questioning. Dynamic questions are those that are asked only where a given response to a previous question has been provided.

How do they work?

The Survey Centre will send an email with a `hyperlink` to all invitees. All they have to do is to click on the link which opens a new window containing the questionnaire.

Respondents complete each page of the questionnaire then click `submit` to send the questionnaire to us. This automatically updates our database. To view and complete a brief example of an online questionnaire click Example Questionnaires.

What if some people don't have online access?

A proportion of your survey audience may not have online access. In these instances, we arrange paper-based questionnaires to compliment the online questionnaire.
