Face to Face Interviews

Properly handled, 'One to One' or 'Face to Face' interviews can be the most informative of all survey methods. Skilled interviewers can probe particular areas, seeking out underlying reasons for individual responses.

With 'One to One' interviews, respondents are relating only to the interviewer. So responses are not "contaminated" by others' reactions. This lack of contamination can be important to a skilled interviewer who can use this to probe to a level that would not be possible with any other form of research.

Often 'One to One' interviews are used to court the opinion of a small number of influential people where flexibility, tact and professionalism are highly important.
