360 Degree Appraisals
As the name suggests, 360 Degree Appraisals seek feedback from everyone around an individual: managers, subordinates, peers, colleagues, internal customers, external customers, suppliers, etc. This can provide invaluable input to performance reviews or appraisal discussions of key personnel.
The great benefit of 360 Degree Appraisals is the rounded view that you receive for each individual. By aggregating feedback, it minimizes 'politically' or 'personally' motivated views. It also gives a fuller picture of an individual's strengths and areas for development.
How does a 360 degree appraisal work?
A 360 degree appraisal process comprises three stages:
- Identification of the competencies, or the areas of performance on which you require feedback
- Control of the feedback process - usually conducted online or as a postal questionnaire
- Processing the information. Depending upon your requirements, we can provide results in up to three parts:
- How the individual perceives themselves
- How their peers view them
- How the average individual performs
